Storyline

On the night of The Great Tangshan Earthquake (1976) Tu Qiang falls from a chimney and dies. The only witness is You Ling from the neighbour family. Tu Qiang’s brother who has always taken care of You Ling which makes his death more tragic.

5 years later, You Ling falls in love with Ma Xiaojian, but neither of their families accept their romance. By a misunderstanding, Ma Xiaojian thinks You Ling has betrayed him so he travels south, but he is unaware that You Ling is pregnant with his child.
