Stand Still, The Last Great Wall

Storyline

The film tells the story of Tang Xinsheng, brigade commander of the Chinese army, played by Hou Yong, happens to get caught in an earthquake (the massive Wenchuan earthquake in 2008). When communication is interrupted and contact with superiors is lost, Tang decides to lead the troops and overcome numerous dangers to rescue the injured in the hardest-hit place Yingchuan county. This film focuses on the rescuers in the disaster relief effort and reflects on the army’s heroic spirit of sacrifice.
