The Raging Flames

Storyline

The story is about a pair of young lovers, Song Yu and Xing Tao, who are part of a Peking Opera troup in the 1970’s. An unexpected fire burns to death Xing Tao’s father and the wife of the Yu family. The two families blame each other for the cause of the fire and they become enemies, which makes the couples’ relationship complicated. Later, Song Yu is expelled from the troup, but she has not given up on her life as a performer.
