Storyline

The hero of the story, Zeng Yong, comes from a poor family and because of their poverty, he had to drop out of school at an early age to work and managed to accumulate assets worth tens of million yuan. Zeng Yong is elected the chief official of his village and begins to invest great amounts into modernizing the village’s infrastructure and agriculture, but difficulties still stack up.

The story depicts realistic events of modernization in rural China. It opens the viewers’ eyes to the real rural China and is truly a piece of art.
