Substitute Teacher

Storyline

A girl from Shanghai arrives at a small island on Poyang Lake in Jiangxi. She claims to have come to visit an old colleague who had taught at the local school most of her life. In reality, however, she has come to find her university lover, who is the son of the ”old colleague” she claims to had come for. Unfortunately, her old lover has died from illness, but the girl decides to stay on the island and teach as a substitute teacher. With time, she begins to realize why her old lover chose to give up on love and leave the city life to move to this place. She also decides to stay on this peaceful place as a full-time teacher.
