Da Jia Ting

Storyline

At the time of the Cultural Revolution (1966-1976), medical expert, Chen Yushi, was caught and charged as a counter-revolutionary. Unable to bear the shame, he commits suicide, leaving behind his wife, Liao Jing, and daughter, Chen Hanqiu. As a response to the autrocities, Liao Jing starts a counter-movement and is also almost killed. Luckily, a military serviceman, Mr. Yuan saves her, but Liao Jing’s possessions are stolen by the revolutionaries. Mr. Yuan’s son thinks very highly of Chen Hanqiu, but she does not like him back.
